New Website: St. Vincent de Paul Fond du Lac

It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a web posting on this site. I’ve been busy assisting some very good people with their web technology needs. So, speaking of which, I would like to give a quick shout out to the District Council of Fond du Lac County Society of St. Vincent de Paul and a Thank you to all of the wonderful people involved in making that such a great organization! I would mention specific names but I know some people would prefer to remain anonymous as good people don’t always want public credit for the good they do. If you would like to show your appreciation, consider becoming involved in their mission and supporting the organization. All the details are now on the website 😉

The New St. Vincent de Paul Fond du Lac Website

The site features three sections of information for ease of use: Faith, Community and Shop.  Each section focuses on a very important aspect of the organization.

Faith

The core of the organization is Faith and Friendship. A quote of a quote from the website:

“Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and its patron, St. Vincent de Paul.”

Community

As you notice in the quote above, the idea is to grow spiritually by offering person to person service to the needy and St. Vincent de Paul Fond du Lac has a number of great programs.  Check out the main Fond du Lac Community Service page.

Shop

Community service is often difficult without the proper resources. From the website, “Proceeds from our store sales are put back into the Fond du Lac community to help those in need”.   In the spirit of helping others in need, consider shopping at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store next time you are looking for anything from clothing, books, furniture, toys, appliances and everything in between.
